For our client, we are looking for an experienced Mainframe Customer Success Specialist to drive success and long-term value for enterprise customers using mainframe solutions. In this role, you\'ll align technology capabilities with customer business goals, fostering executive engagement and maximizing solution adoption.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe environments, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives and customer governance. You\"ll be working cross-functionally with sales, product management, engineering, services, and marketing teams to execute post-sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Your tasks:

  • Ensure customers realize full value from their mainframe investments, actively use their entitlements, and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to grow accounts and increase customer engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them build and maintain strategic business roadmaps and transformation blueprints.
  • Promote customer retention and foster advocacy through strong relationship management.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to support customer initiatives.
  • Understand customer business challenges and map relevant mainframe solutions to meet their goals.
  • Help customers implement and manage change, governance, and center of excellence programs.
  • Identify risks to customer success and design mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a customer advocate to influence product improvements, service offerings, and best practices.
  • Contribute to developing repeatable processes and solutions to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Support contract renewals and proactively minimize risk of customer attrition.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with z/OS systems, mainframe environments, and major subsystems (e.g., DB2, Mainframe Operations, Mainview preferred).
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English; business-level proficiency in German is required.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to manage executive-level relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with complex enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead executive meetings and facilitate workshops is a plus.
  • Bachelor\"s degree in Computer Systems or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience in systems/application programming.
